Thane Janata Sahakari Bank, Hewlett-Packard and Infrasoft technologies, on Tuesday announced their collaboration to deploy information technology infrastructure and applications. The bank said that this initiative will enable it to achieve cost advantages while also enhancing its operational metrics and customer satisfaction levels to derive significant business benefits in the prevailing competitive banking environment in India.

Under the terms of the contract, HP along with Infrasoft Technologies is implementing and managing a Core Banking Solution across 24 branches of Thane Janata Bank spread over 4 cities in Maharastra.

Based on InfrasoftTech’s OMNIEnterpriseTM solution, The CBS implementation on HP’s computing technology will enable more than 500,000 customers of TJSB to access its products & services on a 24x7 basis. The customers will also have access to banking and financial services anytime, anywhere.

Working closely with TJSB, HP will also implement and manage an enterprise-wide core banking architecture, which includes delivery channel integration. The bank envisages servicing over half a million customers running more than fifty thousand transactions per day with proven scalability of 50-100 times growth in the future.

As part of the contract, HP, along with Ontrack Solutions, its Enterprise Channel Partner, will design, build and manage a data center that will host the server, storage and connectivity infrastructure for the bank and also provide disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
